The woman who was sentanced to 20years in jail for firing a warning shot to scare off her estranged husband during an altercation could be going to jail for 60 years  marissa Alexander may face the extended sentence when her aggravated assault case is retried this summer, according to the Office of State Attorney Angela Corey, who will try for another convicti  She was released on bond in November 2013 after her original conviction was thrown out. The 1st District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee ruled that Circuit Judge James Daniel, who sentenced Alexander under Florida’s 10-20-life law, made a mistake in shifting the burden to Alexander to prove she was acting in self-defense.  Mandatory Minimums
