Boko Haram: Kwara Police to screen housemaids

                                 
The Kwara State Police Command is to begin screening of prospective housemaids before they are engaged by their masters as part of efforts to improve security.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ambrose Aisabor, gave the assurance in IIorin while addressing participants at a seminar on security awareness.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the seminar, organised by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), was attended by participants from the 16 local government areas of the state and security operatives.
Aisabor was represented by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi.
He said that the screening would improve security of lives and property.
The commissioner of police advised residents willing to engage housemaids to contact the command for the screening.
He said that some housemaids aided criminality, and advised the residents to be security conscious and provide useful information to security agents on how to curb crime.
The state Director of NOA, Mr Felix Olowokere, said that the agency organised the seminar to sensitise the people to the need to be security conscious.
Olowokere urged participants to come up with ideas on how to sustain peace and harmony in the state and improve security.
