The contemporary Highlife singer, Pulse.ng learns, will be welcoming a baby with his girlfriend - Nigerian model Sandra Okagbue in a few weeks.
 

Great news guys, Flavour is expecting his first child.

The contemporary Highlife singer, Pulse.ng learns, will be welcoming a baby with his girlfriend - Nigerian model Sandra Okagbue in a few weeks.

Sources in Flavour's camp tell Pulse.ng that Okagbue recently travelled to the US, where she is expected to deliver Flavour's baby.

Okagbue is a former Delta Soap queen. She once dated Super Eagles and Chelsea FC star footballer Mikel Obi.

'Flavour wants it all kept on the low. But he's happy he's expecting a child with her', a source tells Pulse.ng.

Flavour's reps however say they are not aware of any such pregnancy, going further to state that they've not heard of the reports which has made blogs in the past few days.

'I'm not aware of this or any report about this', a rep for Flavourtells Pulse.ng.

In the past, Flavour was reported to have dated model Beverly Heels. He was also rumoured to have dated one-time Big Brother Africa winner Dillish Matthews.

Flavour, real name Chinedu Okoli is currently rounding up work on his fourth studio album which he intends release soon. The body of work was largely produced by usual collaborator MasterKraft.

Three suspects were arrested in Lagos for selling human parts

The police in Lagos have arrested three members of a gang alleged to be dealers in human parts.

The suspects, Mustapha Murtala, Sunday Oluyeba and Adenike Olanrewaju ,were caught with 2 human skulls and were arrested after the police received a tip-off regarding their activities.

Murtala said:

 “I am a herbalist from Sagamu, Ogun State. I was introduced to human parts business by one Sunday Oluyeba three years ago.

They later came and requested a human head with an offer of N30,000. They said they wanted to use it to prepare concoction for a pregnant woman in labour .

 “Sunday brought the human head and I paid him N15,000 for it. This is the second time I am buying a human skull from him. I do not know where he got them from.”

Olanrewaju, who is a mother of 2, was arrested due to her husband’s connection to the illicit trade.

She said:

“I have been married to Juwon  for five years and we have two children. My husband is a herbalist but I didn’t know he was dealing in human parts. I was arrested because my husband whom they came to arrest ran away.

The case is being investigated and the suspects will soon be charged for their crimes.

News: Jay-Z acquires Roc Nation Sports Boxing Promotion Licence for New York and Washington DC

American music mogul, Jay-z has joined the likes of Don King, and Frank Maloney in the ranks of boxing promoters

The 44 year-old Rap star recently acquired for his sports agency Roc Nations Sports, a licence to promote boxing in two American state New York and Washington DC; he has already hired a manager for the business

Jay-z now adds to his burgeoning sports conglomerate which promotes several notable athletes in the NBA (Kevin Durant),MLB (Robinson Cano and C.C. Sabithia) and NFL

“There’s no question the sport of boxing needs a new player, someone who can do something different.

It's official, Nigeria could have 18 new states following the July 3rd recommendation of the delegates of the National Confab if approved by President Goodluck Jonathan.     The states which were carved from the 6 geo-political zones of the country will bring the total number of states in Nigeria to 54.   Members of the National Conference Committee on Political Restructuring and Forms of Government jointly headed by Ike Nwachukwu & Mohammed Kumalia released a copy of the newly proposed map of Nigeria with the additional states added. The additional new states are:

News:Jackie Chan I'M ASHAMED OF MY SON After Weed Bust in China

Jackie Chan says he's "VERY ASHAMED" of his son Jaycee -- claiming his 31-year-old son humiliated his family after getting busted for pot in China. 

Chan's son was caught in a huge drug crackdown last week -- with cops saying they found about 3.5 ounces of the green stuff in Jaycee's Beijing home. 

Now, his famous father has penned a bizarre letter to the public -- blasting his kid ... and essentially saying he FAILED as a father.

"When I first heard the news, I was absolutely enraged" ... Jackie wrote in a letter posted on his official website.

"As a public figure, I feel very ashamed; as his dad, I'm very sad and disappointed. But the person who feels heartbroken the most is his mom."

"I hope our younger generation will learn from Jaycee's mistake and stay far away from drug abuse."

News: Meek Mill To Remain In Jail Until At Least October

 Meek Mill's appeal for an early release was denied by a judge. 

Meek Mill will remain in jail until at least October 11, according to a story on TMZ new    The Rapper  went before a judge today (August 18) and asked to be released from jail in order to return to his career and to support his son and others. Instead, the judge ordered the Philadelphia artist to take anger management classes and a parenting class.  The MMG rapper has been on probation for about five years and has not been accused of committing any crimes during that time, the story says, though he failed a drug test in 2014 and also appeared to feature a gun in a music video this year. His attorney said that he had a prescription for the OxyContin after an injury and that the weapon used in the video was a water pistol, not an actual gun. 

In July, one of Meek Mill's attorneys requested an emergency hearing  to get an explanation of why the rapper was incarcerated. He was reportedly apprehended because of his behavior while on probation. Among his alleged infractions were posing with a gun in a clip from a music video that was posted on Instagram. He was sentenced to three-to-six months in jail.

The actress and hubby would be celebrating their 3rd year of happy marital bliss together on the 27th, the actress will also be adding a year on the 28th.

The excited actress waited all night at the airport for her "hope" to activate the celebration mode.

News: How Chadian Soldiers Rescued Boko Haram Captives

According to reports, 85 out of a 100 people kidnapped by terrorist sect, Boko Haram have been rescued by the Chadian army.

100 people were reportedly kidnapped on August 10 from Doron Baga in the Kukawa area of Borno, near the border with Chad.

The Associated Press reports that the captives were rescued on Friday in an operation against the sect.

The kidnappings had been reported by a member of a local vigilante, identified as Muhammed Gava, who said that about a 100 people, consisting of about 70 young men and 20 females, were abducted and taken aboard speed boats around the Lake Chad area.

Boko Haram is also responsible for the kidnapping of over 200 schoolgirls from Chibok who are yet to be rescued.

News: Lagos To Begin Work On Eko Bridge From August 23

The Lagos State Government has announced plans to commence repairs on the busy Eko bridge.

The repairs would start from August 23, which is next Saturday, and would not have too much impact on vehicular movement.

News of the development was disclosed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Kayode Opeifa.

He said:

“The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in continuation of the Bridge Expansion Joint Replacement exercise which has touched many bridges in the state, will commence work on Eko Bridge in Surulere and the Lagos Island Local Government Area for a period of 71 days beginning from Saturday, August 23, 2014 to Monday, October 27, 2014.

“As part of the traffic management strategies during the exercise, there shall be successive partial closure of Eko Bridge carriageway at each expansion joint location.”

“The state government appeals for caution and cooperation from all road users by obeying all traffic regulations and ensure traffic flow during the maintenance period.

“The state government, while regretting any inconvenience, has directed all relevant agencies to ensure free flow of traffic,”

The Commissioner added that the planned repairs would not lead to total closure of the bridge

News: FG Postpones Resumption Of Primary And Secondary Schools

The Nigerian government announced the move in a bid to ensure that the Ebola virus does not spread, The Federal Government has mandated that all primary and secondary schools in Nigeria should remain shut until further notice.

The government stated that this was necessary to ensure that there is no further outbreak of the Ebola Viral Disease (EVD).

The move was announced by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Matters, Comrade Jude Imagwe.

The amount of time that the students would spend at home was not specified but it was stated that they would be on holiday until the country found a way to stop the current outbreak.

Nigeria has now recorded 11 cases of the disease, the first beingLiberian-American, Patrick Sawyer who brought it into the country. God Bless Nigeria 

News: Why My Husband Took Ebola To Nigeria, Patrick Sawyer's Wife Opens Up

                  Patrick Saywer has become infamous for being the Liberian-American who brought the Ebola virus into Nigeria.

Mr. Sawyer travelled into the country for a conference despite knowing he was infected with the highly contagious disease. He died in Lagos on July 25.

Since then, Nigerians, and even his fellow Liberians, have castigated the man for his recklessness and wickedness.

However, his wife, Decontee, who is a radio host in New York, has defended her husband actions.

In an article published on TMZ Liberia Magazine with words culled from her Facebook page, she said:  “I’ve read other reports in other papers about Patrick’s “recklessness.” I get where they’re coming from, and they certainly have the right to feel the way they do.

 However, as Patrick’s widow, I would like to shed some light on this from another perspective. One that only I, his wife, would know,” she wrote.

“I knew Patrick better than anybody else (including himself). He had told me many times in the past how much he didn’t trust the Liberian healthcare system.

He would tell me about how a person would get checked in for one thing, and get misdiagnosed and get the wrong treatment as a result. On top of that, Patrick was a clean freak, and told me how filthy a lot of the hospitals were.

“He didn’t tell me this, but I know in my heart of hearts that Patrick was determined to get to Nigeria by all means because he felt that Nigeria would be a place of refuge.

He has expressed to me many times in the past that he felt passionately about helping to be a part of strengthening Liberia’s healthcare system, but he knew it wasn’t there yet, and he wouldn’t want to take a chance with his life because a lot of people depended on him… Patrick had a passion for life, and he wouldn’t have wanted his to end.

So, I bet anything that he was thinking, if I could only get to Nigeria, a way more developed country than Liberia, I would be able to get some help. How ironic.”

“Patrick went to Nigeria for help so that he can get properly diagnosed, and not misdiagnosed in Liberia. And if it came back that he did have Ebola, he trusted the Nigerian healthcare system a lot more than he trusted the Liberian’s. His action, as off as it was, was a desperate plea for help. Patrick didn’t want to die, and he thought his life would be saved in Nigeria.”

A total of 3 deaths and 7 confirmed cases of Ebola have been recorded in Nigeria including Sawyer himself and people who had primary contact with him.

Nigeria was Ebola free before Sawyer travelled on 2 planes into the country. President Goodluck Jonathan described him as  a crazy man while Nigeria's Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu accused him of placing unnecessary stress on the nation's healthcare system. God Bless Nigeria
